All Heritage Armor Sets

Heritage Armor sets were first introduced to World of Warcraft in the Battle for Azeroth expansion, released on August 14, 2018. This unique cosmetic gear is visually striking and profoundly symbolic of the cultures and histories they represent within the game’s lore. That’s why many players use it for transmogrification purposes.

icon In this article, we’ve gathered a full list of these sets (for all races), briefly explained how to get them, and shared our thoughts about how this or another gear looks.

icon Pandarens and Dracthyrs don’t have Heritage Armor sets yet. Hopefully they will be added in the forthcoming World of Warcraft updates.

Earthen Heritage Armor

Earthen Overview:

  • Introduced in World of Warcraft: The War Within.
  • Only Earthen characters can use this armor set for transmogrificaton.

  • Reach Level 80 and complete the War Within campaign.
  • Have an Earthen character at level 50.

  • Can be transmogrified onto any Cloth, Leather, Mail, or Plate armor.
  • Available in 4 colors: red, violet, green, and blue.

  • Level up your Earthen character to 50 level.
  • Return to Dornogal to receive the Heritage of the Earthen achievement.

Draenei Heritage Armor

Draenei Overview:

  • Introduced in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s Patch 10.2.7
  • The questline consists of a series of tasks that are engaging and narrative-rich, tied to the lore of the Draenei.

icon Requirements for the Draenei Heritage Armor Unlocking:

  • You must be a Draenei (not Lightforged Draenei).
  • Your character must be level 50 or above.

  • Includes two sets with 2 colors: Telhamat (Purple/Maroon) and Lost Embaari (Blue/Purple).
  • Each set includes 8 pieces, with 2 helm variants (one with a face cover and one without).

  • Travel to the Exodar and locate Grand Artificer Romuul to start the quest An Artificer’s Appeal.
  • Follow the questline to completion. The storyline revolves around the Tishamaat, a special Draenei event, and involves interacting with troubled spirits and uncovering the history of the Eredar.

Troll Heritage Armor

Troll Overview:

  • Introduced in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s Patch 10.2.7
  • The questline is designed to provide lore and story elements related to the Darkspear tribe’s history.

  • Be a Darkspear Troll character (not a Zandalari Troll)
  • Be level 50 or above

  • The armor set includes a distinctive tiki mask as a back transmog.

  • The armor is cosmetic and can be transmoggable over any armor type, from plate to cloth.

  • Started the questline by talking to Zi’guma at the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar.
  • The questline revolves around solving the problem of bad influences causing strife on the Echo Isles, where worship of the Dark Loa is spreading. You must find the old Loa of the Darkspear and hope that they will be willing and able to drive out the corruption.

Human Overview:

  • The armor allows players to get the iconic look of a Warcraft III Footman or a Stormwind guard.

  • Released in Patch 10.1.7 of Dragonflight, includes a comprehensive questline and a weapon transmog.

Orc Heritage Armor

Orc Overview:

  • Also known as the Heritage of Draenor armor set.
  • Orc Heritage armor sets are named after significant orc clans.
  • The set pays homage to the orcs’ roots in Draenor, offering a visual connection to their homeland.
  • Eligible for transmogrification, allowing players to customize their appearance with these significant armors, regardless of their current gear.

  • Exclusively for Orc characters (excluding Mag’har Orcs).
  • Achieve level 50 or higher to start the questline.
  • Exalted standing with Orgrimmar.

  • Patch 9.2.5 introduced a questline for Blood Elves involving a return to the Ghostlands to address a Scourge reappearance.
  • Players gain access to new rewards, including a mount, a polearm transmog, and a Paladin-specific transmog set.

Dwarf Known as the Bronzebeard Heritage Armor, this set is designed for Dwarves.

To access it, players must level a Dwarf character to 50 and complete a specific questline, starting with “Keep Yer Feet On The Ground.”
