How to Farm Spire of the Watcher for Loot
When Spire of the Watcher is the weekly featured dungeon, you can farm it for unlimited loot, including the Exotic drop.
Here’s a simple way to farm D2 SotW:
- Play through the dungeon with your first character until you reach the encounter you want to farm.
- Start the encounter and intentionally wipe (all players die).
- Ask your Fireteam to wait while you switch to a second character that hasn’t run the dungeon that week.
- Rejoin your Fireteam with this second character and wipe again. This locks in the checkpoint.
From here, follow this cycle:
- Launch the Spire of the Watcher with the second character holding the checkpoint.
- Switch back to your first character and rejoin your Fireteam.
- Complete the encounter, collect loot, then exit.
- Repeat the steps above until reset for endless loot chances.

Spire of the Watcher Armor Sets
Like other dungeons in Destiny 2, Spire of the Watcher offers a unique armor set for each class.
Below, you can check their appearance for the Warlock, Hunter, and Titan.
Master Spire of the Watcher Rewards
The Spire of the Watcher dungeon includes a Master version where players can farm for Artifice armor.
Artifice armor in Destiny 2 is a special gear with an extra mod slot, allowing players to boost any chosen stat by +3. This bonus slot can significantly improve your stat distribution, making it easier to reach top-tier stat builds, which is especially helpful in endgame activities.
To get Artifice armor, you need to run dungeons on Master difficulty, such as Spire of the Watcher or other weekly featured dungeons. Encounters that drop armor on Legend difficulty will drop Artifice armor on Master. Each week, you’ll have one or two dungeons to farm for this armor, as not all dungeons have Master versions.
