How Professions Work in Midnight
Midnight keeps the modern specialization system. Your profession skill is only one part of your crafting power. Specialization, profession stats, profession equipment, Knowledge Points, Artisan’s Moxie, and Concentration all affect what you can produce and how efficiently you can produce it.

One important Midnight change is Artisan’s Moxie. Unlike the profession currency used in previous expansions, Midnight Moxie is tied to the profession that generated it. How to Spend Knowledge Points
